ACTIVITIES
-- Commissioned by TESDA to draft the Manual of Regulations, now pending with the TESDA Board
-- Represent the tech-voc sector in the COCOPEA Board . COCOPEA is the umbrella organization of all private schools associations, namely: Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines or CEAP (representing Catholic schools), Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities or ACSCU (representing Protestant schools), Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities or PACU (representing the large non-sectarian schools), Philippine Association of Private Schools, Colleges and Universities or PAPSCU (representing the medium and small non-sectarian schools, ) and TEVSAPHIL representing the Tech-Voc schools in the country.
COCOPEA is recognized by the CHED, DepEd and TESDA as the voice of Philippine education and as such is consulted on all major national policy issues.
-- the incumbent president of TEVSAPHIL (Dr. Constancio A. Sia) presently serves as one of the three members of the Second Independent Review Panel by Presidential Appointment. The creation every five years of a review panel to review the performance of TESDA and recommend policy directions is mandated by the TESDA law.
